Many websites and projects in South Africa makes
provision for experienced birders and will discuss the rarer birds in South Africa. These
web pages come into being after realising that there are no web pages that makes provision for
the literally thousands of birders who are interest in the birds in their gardens. It is
hoped that these pages will now fill this gap and that a community will be created of people
passionate about the birds in their gardens and that in time their interest will expand to
include the wonderful diversity of birds that we have in South Africa and even beyond our
borders.
